Are you aware of the importance of equipment maintenance and upkeep?
To maintain long-term production efficiency, first and foremost, you need a high-performance device. However, during continuous production processes, even outstanding equipment can experience performance degradation without proper professional maintenance and upkeep. CTP, as an industrial-specific device, maintaining high-precision imaging quality and long-term stable operation is crucial for ensuring continuous production. Routine daily maintenance and professional preventive maintenance are particularly important, complemented by professional repairs, as effective means to guarantee this outcome.
Maintenance work is a meaningful and highly important task, its significance lies in:
● Daily maintenance contributes to ensuring the daily output efficiency of equipment, guaranteeing product quality, and ensuring effective stability in long-term production.
● "Prevention," through regular inspections, adjustments, maintenance, and timely replacement of wearing parts, aims to detect and resolve periodic fatigue faults in advance, coupled with correcting output quality, to reduce and eliminate the probability of non-accidental equipment failure downtime, ensuring output product quality, thus achieving control over the entire production process.
● Another purpose of preventive maintenance is to detect and resolve minor equipment failures and hidden dangers early, thereby avoiding the expansion of problems in the later stage and reducing users' maintenance costs and production burdens.
Subjects carried out by CRON's professional maintenance engineers include:
1. Clean and maintain the laser scanning platform guide rails and grating rulers, and inspect the reading head.
2. Perform deep cleaning of the dust vacuum lid and inspect the dust collection system.
3. Perform deep cleaning and maintenance of lenses and laser optic sensor.
4. Perform lubrication and spot checks on various mechanical power components: it is recommended to conduct spot checks and lubrication every six months.
5. Check the tension and wear of all timing belts and replace them: it is recommended to inspect them every six months to a year, and replace them every one and a half to two years.
6. Check the sensitivity and zero position calibration of all sensors: it is recommended to check them every six months to a year.
7. Internal inspection of the laser box: check the switch power supply, water cooling pipes, circuit connections of the control board, focusing lens screw and nut sensors, etc.: it is recommended to inspect them every six months to a year.
8. Confirm the imaging exposure effect: calibrate the energy of the printing material (adjust the laser power state of the equipment) and verify and correct the focal length.
To ensure the stable operation of the equipment, the following suggestions are provided for preventive maintenance before holidays:
01 Software Backup
Backup computer system disks, prepress software, and LABOO output software work disk data to prevent abnormal computer behaviour after the holiday, thus affecting normal production.
02 Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance
Follow the daily maintenance method to maintain the CTP, drain the developer from the plate processor, and clean it. After completion, soak it in clean water. Finally, cover the equipment with dust-proof cloth/plate lining paper/cushion sponge/protective film for dust prevention. If you have any questions, feel free to consult the service hotline or your local certified CRON engineer.
03 Shutdown and Power Off
Shutdown the CTP main unit (external dust collector), associated computer, plate processor, UPS, and other related equipment as required, and it is recommended to cut off the main control power supply associated with these devices.
04 Consumable Storage
Follow the storage requirements of the plate manufacturer to store unsealed but unused plates, paying particular attention to light avoidance, moisture resistance, anti-static, and flat storage to prevent bending.
05 Workspace Cleaning
Clean and maintain the tidiness of the workspace, implement rodent prevention measures in the room, cut waste PS plates/wood strips into strips approximately 25 centimeters wide, and securely attach them to the gaps between the bottom panels of the CTP and the ground with cut waste plates/wood strips around the CTP. This effectively prevents small animals from entering the equipment.
The above are actionable maintenance suggestions. For other professional maintenance needs, please contact the CRON service hotline at 400-011-8989, press 1, or consult a certified CRON official service engineer.
