HDI Technology Advantages


1. Compatible with multiple types of plates

CRON HDI high-definition digital flexographic imaging machine can be compatible with up to 5 types of plates, including thermal sensitive offset plates, polyester-based relief plates, digital flexo plates, metal-based relief plates, and etching-type films (*see product specifications for details), enabling versatile utilization across various flexographic printing processes.

2. High-precision and multi-resolution plate making

CRON HDI high-definition digital flexo platesetter imaging resolution can be selected from 2000DPI/4000DPI/8000DPI (upgradeable) or 2400DPI/4800DPI/9600DPI (upgradeable) or 2540DPI/5080DPI/10160DPI (upgradeable) (*See the product parameter table for details) ,2400/2540DPI making thermal offset printing plates imaging faster and can improve production efficiency;4800/5080DPI is more suitable for flexo and resin plates to ensure the color quality of printed products;9600/10160DPI is more suitable for high-precision anti-counterfeiting printing and can help you expand your business scope.It can engrave 10 micron laser dots, accurately reproduce 1% of dots, and have smoother dot edges; it supports high-definition screening technology and micro-cavity technology.

3. SMFO patented laser technology

CRON HDI high-definition digital flexo platesetter machine uses semiconductor lasers and applies its own patented SMFO technology. Laser output is more uniform, plate making effect is better, and the overall laser working life is longer.Cost saving: Lasers can be replaced or rearranged individually, greatly reducing the cost of laser system maintenance.Test data shows that at a temperature of 25 degrees and a humidity of 40%-60%, the laser life span can reach 10,000 hours.

4. Optical drum vacuum constant pressure system

The optical drum is divided into multiple chambers for separate control. When not using a full-size plate, the equipment automatically seals off certain chambers to maintain vacuum pressure within safe limits. This ensures stable pressure for plates of any size, eliminating the need for manual taping and making the process simple and efficient.

5. User-friendly plate clamping system

Narrow-format model (HDI400/600/920): Double-plate clamping for safer material fixation, adjustable tail clamps for different material sizes, no need for tape, energy-saving and eco-friendly; more precise plate mounting, avoiding material wastage.
Wide-format models (HDI1200/1600/2000): Independent operation of fixed head and tail clamps for plates, no mutual interference, eliminating the incident of material loss or dropping, no need for tape for the entire plate.
 

6. Fully automatic plate loading and unloading

Plates are laid flat on the platen, with the easy push of a button enabling automatic opening and closing of the plate clamp, as well as automatic loading and unloading of plates on the platen, eliminating the need for manual rotation of the drum or foot pedal control of the plate clamp.

7. Triple dynamic balancing technology

CRON's patented triple dynamic balance technology automatically adjusts the position of balance blocks based on the plate material, ensuring smooth engraving and protecting hardware components from damage caused by vibrations, thus safeguarding customer plate quality and cost.
This resolves issues such as non-full plates, varying thicknesses, materials, and sizes, preventing changes in the drum's center of gravity and equipment shaking during high-speed rotation, thus addressing common problems of uneven horizontal and vertical lines.

8. Automatic temperature compensation / Automatic plate thickness detection technology

CRON HDI incorporates temperature automatic compensation technology and plate thickness automatic detection technology, resulting in shorter startup times and ensuring that focal length remains unaffected by temperature variations or differences in plate thickness among batches. This stabilizes imaging, saves on test plates, and reduces usage costs.

9. Advanced dust and odour removal system

Advanced dust removal technology ensures high-quality plate-making results, with background film is clean and free of dust.5-layer dust and odour removal unit ensures a green and healthy working environment.The entire HDI series has passed environmental certification.

10. Guide rail self-lubricating system

The classic fine-tuning V-shaped guide rail system is precise and not easy to wear, maintaining the best constant focus.
